How to stake PIVX on Allnodes

PIVX (PIV) Cold Staking

The PIVX coins that you stake can be held in Ledger, Trezor, or PIVX Core wallets.

Minimum stake requirement: 1 PIV
Delegation transaction cost: 1 PIV
Our staking node's "stakesplitthreshold" setting is set to 2000.

Instructions for Ledger (through Ledger Live):

  1. Connect your Ledger wallet to your computer and open the PivX app on it.
    ​If you already have at least 10.1 PIVX in your wallet and PIVX Core wallet installed, start at step 10.

  2. Open the Ledger Live app and press the "Accounts" tab.

  3. Press the "Add account" button, select PivX, and press the "Continue" button.

  4. Press the "Add account" button, then the "Done" button.

  5. Click on your account, press the "Manage" button, and select the "Receive" menu.

  6. Press the "Continue" button and copy your address (You will need it later during setup proccess).

  7. Download and install the latest PIVX Core wallet from the official website: https://pivx.org/wallet
    ​Please note, that PIVX Cold Staking requires installing of PIVX Core wallet even if you stake from a Ledger.

  8. Wait until blockchain on your PIVX Core wallet is fully synced (It can take some time).

  9. Open the "RECEIVE" tab and press "Copy".

  10. Send PIVX that you want to stake to this address (even if they are located on your Hardware wallet) and wait for 6 confirmations.

  11. Select the "I want to stake from a Hardware Wallet" option here: https://www.allnodes.com/pivx/stake

  12. Follow further instructions from Allnodes
    ​
    ​Your coins will be automatically sent to your Hardware wallet address (owner address) and Allnodes will not have access to them.
    ​
    ​FYI: In order to withdraw rewards from a hardware wallet, you may need to use the PET4L program. Each withdraw can break staking and you will need to set up staking from scratch.

Instructions for Trezor (through Trezor Suite):

  1. Connect your Trezor wallet to your computer.
    ​If you already have at least 10.1 PIVX in your wallet and PIVX Core wallet installed, start at step 9.

  2. Download and install Trezor Suite from the official website: https://suite.trezor.io

  3. Press the "+" button and select PIVX.

  4. Click on the added account, click on the "..." button, and select the "Receive" menu.

  5. Press the "Show full address" button and copy your address (You will need it later during setup proccess).

  6. Download and install the latest PIVX Core wallet from the official website: https://pivx.org/wallet
    ​Please note, that PIVX Cold Staking requires installing of PIVX Core wallet even if you stake from a Trezor wallet.

  7. Wait until blockchain on your PIVX Core wallet is fully synced (It can take some time).

  8. Open the "RECEIVE" tab and press "Copy".

  9. Send PIVX to your address (even if they are located on your Hardware wallet) and wait for 6 confirmations.

  4. Select the "I want to stake from the PIVX Core Wallet" option here: https://www.allnodes.com/pivx/stake

  5. Follow further instructions from Allnodes.
