How to stake Polygon on Allnodes

Polygon (MATIC) Staking

The MATIC tokens that you stake can be held in Ledger, Trezor, MetaMask, Coinbase, Trust, or any other wallet that supports WalletConnect.

​Matic staking is only available on the Ethereum blockchain.

The unbonding period is 80 checkpoints (approximately 14 hours).

Instructions for Ledger (through Ledger Live):

  1. Connect your Ledger wallet to your computer and open the Ethereum app on it.
    ​If you already have at least 1 MATIC and 0.1 ETH in your wallet, start at step 9.

  2. Open the Ledger Live app and press the "Accounts" tab.

  3. Press the "Add account" button, select Ethereum, and press the "Continue" button.

  4. Press the "Add account" button, then the "Done" button.

  5. Click on your account, press the "Manage" button, and select the "Receive" menu.

  6. Press the "Continue" button and copy your address.

  7. Send at least 1 MATIC and 0.1 ETH to that address.

    0.1 ETH is required to cover the fees of the initial and future staking transactions.

  8. Close the Ledger Live app.

  9. Open this web page: https://www.allnodes.com/matic/stake

  10. Press the "CONNECT" button and select the "Ledger" option.

  11. Follow further instructions from Allnodes.
    ​While we are a non-custodial service, when staking, technically your coins will be sent from your wallet to the staking smart contract: 0x5e3ef299fddf15eaa0432e6e66473ace8c13d908

Instructions for Trezor (through Trezor Suite):

  1. Connect your Trezor wallet to your computer.
    ​If you already have at least 1 MATIC and 0.1 ETH in your wallet, start at step 8.

  2. Download and install Trezor Suite from the official website: https://suite.trezor.io

  3. Press the "+" button and select Ethereum.

  4. Click on the added account, click on the "..." button, and select the "Receive" menu.

  5. Press the "Show full address" button and copy your address.

  6. Send at least 1 MATIC and 0.1 ETH to that address.
    ​0.1 ETH is required to cover the fees of the initial and future staking transactions.

  7. Close the Trezor Suite app.

  8. Open this web page: https://www.allnodes.com/matic/stake

  9. Press the "CONNECT" button and select the "Trezor" option.

  10. Follow further instructions from Allnodes.

  1. Download and install the MetaMask wallet from the official website: https://metamask.io

  3. Send at least 1 MATIC and 0.1 ETH to that address.

  5. Press the "CONNECT" button and select the "MetaMask" option.

  6. Follow further instructions from Allnodes.

  2. Open your wallet and copy your address.

  3. Send at least 1 MATIC and 0.1 ETH to that address.
    ​0.1 ETH is required to cover the fees of the initial and future staking transactions.

  4. Open this web page: https://www.allnodes.com/matic/stake

  5. Press the "CONNECT" button and select the "Coinbase Wallet" option.

  6. Follow further instructions from Allnodes.

Instructions for Trust wallet:

  1. Download and install the Trust wallet: https://trustwallet.com
    ​If you already have at least 1 MATIC and 0.1 ETH in your wallet, start at step 4.

  2. Select Polygon in the list and click on the "Receive" button.

  3. Send at least 1 MATIC and 0.1 ETH to that address.
    ​0.1 ETH is required to cover the fees of the initial and future staking transactions.

  4. Open this link: https://www.allnodes.com/matic/stake

  5. Press the "CONNECT" button and select the "Trust" wallet option.

  6. Open the "Settings" tab in your Trust wallet and press the "New Connection" button.

  7. Scan the QR code from the Allnodes website with your Trust wallet.

  8. Follow further instructions from Allnodes.
