How to stake MOVR on Moonriver chain

The MOVR coins that you stake can be held in Ledger, Trezor, MetaMask, or Polkadot Apps wallets.

The unbonding period is 2 days.

Instructions for Ledger (through MetaMask):

  1. Download and install the MetaMask wallet from the official website: https://metamask.io
    ​If you already have at least 5.1 MOVR in your wallet, start at step 9.

  2. Open the "Settings" menu, select "Networks", and press the "Add network" button.

  3. Insert this data in the fields required and press the "Save" button.
    ​Network Name: Moonriver

    WebSite: https://rpc.moonriver.moonbeam.network

    ChainID: 1285
    ​Symbol: MOVR

  4. Click on the "Ethereum Mainnet" dropdown and switch to the "Moonriver" network.

  5. Connect your Ledger wallet to your computer and open the Ethereum app on it.

  6. Choose the "Connect Hardware Wallet" option in MetaMask menu, select Ledger and choose your address.

  7. Open your wallet and copy your address.

  8. Send at least 5.1 MOVR to your address.
    ​0.1 MOVR is required to cover the costs of the the initial and future staking transactions.

  9. Open this web page: https://apps.moonbeam.network/moonriver/staking

  10. Confirm connection of your MetaMask to this website.

  11. Press the "Select a collator" button and find the Allnodes validator nodes there.

  12. Select node with the smallest "Effective amount bonded".

  13. Choose the amount you want to nominate and press the "Nominate" button.

  14. Confirm the transaction in your MetaMask and with your Ledger.

  15. Enjoy your MOVR staking rewards with Non-Custodial Staking from Allnodes.
    ​While we are a non-custodial service, when staking, technically your coins will be removed from your wallet.

Instructions for Trezor (through MetaMask):

  1. Download and install the MetaMask wallet from the official website: https://metamask.io
    ​If you already have at least 5.1 MOVR in your wallet, start at step 9.

  2. Open the "Settings" menu, select "Networks", and press the "Add network" button.

  2. Switch to the "KUSAMA & PARACHAINS" -> Moonriver network in the left upper corner.

  3. Press the "Add account" button and save your mnemonic in a safe place. Press the "Next" button.

  4. Send at least 5.1 MOVR to your address.
    ​0.1 MOVR is required to cover the costs of the the initial and future staking transactions.
